To guide organizations and governments in their prioritization of relief aid allocations to areas impacted by disaster.

Relief Aid Consulting LLC was founded in 2007 by Brian J. Evans of Richmond, Virginia.

Brian J. Evans – Relevant Information

Evans earned a Master of Disaster Science degree from the University of Richmond, Richmond, Virginia., and a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology from the University of Virginia, Charlottesville, Virginia.  His award-winning master’s thesis, Universal Disaster Impact Scale, won the Deborah L. Peters Memorial Thesis Award, presented to the best graduate student thesis as judged by a committee of University of Richmond faculty and staff.

Evans has also earned a Professional Series Development Certificate through the Federal Emergency Management Agency’s Emergency Management Institute, completing over twenty-four independent study courses in areas such as IS-2 Emergency Preparedness, USA, IS-230 Principles of Emergency Management, and IS-700 National Incident Management System (NIMS). 

Certified by the Disaster Recovery Institute International as an Associate Business Continuity Planner, Evans has performed numerous risk analyses, business impact analyses, and business recovery plans for a Fortune 200 company. Additionally, Evans co-led an enterprise-wide pandemic planning project for the same corporation, developing over 100 business area pandemic response plans. He is a certified Six Sigma Black Belt.

Evans was a member of the American Disaster Reserve during 2004. American Disaster Reserve is a member of the National Volunteer Organizations Active in Disaster (NVOAD) and the Virginia Volunteer Organizations Active in Disaster. Its main mission is to operate The Virtual Emergency Operations Center (VEOC) during times of disaster. The VEOC is an Internet-based operation providing vital informational support via the web to other active agencies during the response and recovery phases of disaster.
